Elderly Woman Rear-Ended Then Assaulted In New York
An elderly woman had a spectacularly bad day in early March thanks to the negligence and actions of others.
According to the official accident reports, the 72-year-old woman driving the car lost control when a large Fed-Ex delivery trust slammed into the back of her vehicle. She was unable to stop the forward momentum caused by the collision and her car went completely into the deli.
But her bad day didn't stop there.
An employee inside of the deli was nearly hit by the car which pushed her up against an ATM. Instead of reacting calmly, she lost control of her temper and assaulted the elderly driver, purposefully breaking her glasses and slapping her across the face.
Despite her protests and claims that she never touched the elderly driver, police arrested the employee at the scene. The driver of the FedEx truck refused medical treatment and the elderly driver was taken to the hospital to be treat for non life-threatening injuries.
