Two Children & 2 Adults Hit By Car On Halloween

Halloween is supposed to be one of the most enjoyable nights of the year for both adults and children but unfortunately for four people, including two children, the night ended in pain.

At around 8 p.m., while thousands of children and their parents were out trick or treating, two cars collided. The impact caused one of the vehicles to jump the curb, mowing through the crowded sidewalk before it hit a brick building and came to a stop.

Four people were hit, including a 1-year-old and a 5-year old. All four are expected to survive, however, they did sustain serious injuries and had to be rushed to a hospital.

When police arrived, both drivers claimed that they had the right of way. At this time, no charges have been filed.

Pedestrians Hit By Car Have The Right To Take Legal Action

When the police determine which driver was at fault, that driver’s insurance policy should cover some of the costs of the victims medical care. However, insurance policies do have limits and once those limits have been met, the victim is left to deal with the cost of their care.

Pedestrian lawsuits are typically the only way that victims can recover the compensation that they need. Compensation can cover lost wages, medical bills, physical trauma, and even emotional suffering.

The last thing that any pedestrian needs to deal with is the stress of dealing with a lawsuit. That’s why the experienced attorneys at Banville Law do everything they can to ensure that the legal process goes smoothly and that clients are updated regularly about their case.
